Anticipation is excitement, waiting eagerly for something you know is going to happen...

For me, it was a minibike when I was 10. I had been to the store, sat on it many times, expressed my eagerness and desire to the point of begging. My dad finally told me on Christmas Eve, it probably isn’t going to happen this year.

After guiding myself through my own version of therapy, I went to bed holding on to a very small glimmer of hope that he could still be wrong.

At 5 a.m. I woke up smelling a small hint of gasoline. My anticipation immediately came back to me, running in place under the bed covers, waiting to hear that it was time to see what Santa had brought.

There it was, the minibike that up till now had only been a hope filled wish had came true.

I will never lose that feeling.

I hope this season can bring you the feelings of anticipation and excitement that are the stuff that dreams are made of.

May the blessings and joys of this season find their way into your heart and bring you the gifts that you keep giving throughout life.

Merry Christmas to you!
